Scale-Depth-Framing-Simplicity Assignment

 Framing
When i had noticed the framing in this photo, i was amazed i had used the fence to capture the body and tail.
I like this photo for many reasons, one would half to be the peacocks tail and the way it captures my eye, the other reason would half to be the fact the fascinating colors of the peacock and the way it looks not to mention they are amazing creatures.
Simplicity
I had chose this photo for my simplicity because its simple, there isn't anything that throws off your eye. The baby/teenager calf let a classmate of mine pet her/him, the focus is on the calf's head.
Depth
I had chose this photo for my Depth, because there is foreground, middle ground, and background to it your eye starts at the front of it and, leads down to the end where the water gets pushed down, not to mention i find this photo pretty interesting in my mind.
Scale
When my teacher had purchased a drumstick for demonstrating the scale, i had noticed what she actually meant the ad for the Drumstick is triple the size of an actual Drumstick, and there is texture to the real drumstick unlike the fake drumstick ad.

  1. Nice attempt for framing. It's a difficult shot to get with the cameras you have to use, but is an original idea and clearly you understand the concept.

Simplicity - you're right. The readers eyes are not distracted by anything else in the frame. You are allowing us to focus on the calf and the hand.

Depth...A great use of colours in the frame provide interest with the use of contrast. Although not the strongest use of depth, it works with the eye being able to follow the light blue "river" of water from the front of the frame to the back of the frame.

Scale...yummy ice cream. Okay not really, it was a huge disappointment with the peanut butter and chocolate ice cream instead of the caramel and vanilla. When taking your photos be careful to get the "whole" object in frame (unless you are focusing on one area only - the board has been cut off a bit). A good example of scale.

    Well done Ryan!
